(English Victorian Novelist Charles Dickens)
Did you know that Charles Dickens wrote in the monthly magazine Bentley’s Miscellany in which he was the original editor, about the Prophet Muhammad’s grandson and the man that the Shi’a Muslims regarded as the true heir and leader of Islam after the death of Muhammad, Imam Husayn Ali, sometime around 1837-8? I just find it very interesting to say the least. Below is the quote from Charles Dickens on Imam Husayn Ali.
“If Husain had fought to quench his worldly desires, then I do not understand why his sister, wife, and children accompanied him. It stands to reason therefore, that he sacrificed purely for Islam.”
